I have ordered a overdrive and will be installing next weekend. Does anyone have any advice or hints on the installation process.

Yea, I have thought of that and have a shop in Salt Lake that said that if I drop them off in the morning they can have them back to me the same afternoon. I am going to start this install thursday night and take the drivelines in on friday.

You will need a shorter driveshaft, unless they now include them with the kits. Of the folks I know who have added overdrives some have had the stock shaft shortened and rebalanced, others have had a new short driveshaft made and saved the stock shaft intact so they can remove the overdrive to another rig when they sell. Either way you might need the help of a driveline shop and your truck may be down for a while.
