I've found the miracle way to lower egt by 500 to 600 degrees... ready for this. . key up the mike on the CB. Yep, that's what my gauge says, and they never lie. While tooling down the road chawing with Wheaties on saturday, He inquires at to what i'm running for temps. I reply back... wait a minute they are dropping like a stone.

OK, the above really did happen and the guage did drop, but I imagine it is because the IssPro pryo signal box had a melt down. The box melted the stickers off ("warranty void if unit opened"), and the box opened. All gooey inside. It did not trip the fuse, and the guage worked "normally" when not transmitting.

Ah well, time to call Isspro today.

It's True!

It's true!!! I was right behind him when it happened :D

I'd say EGT's are running a little high if it's hot enough to travel up the probe wiring and melt the box!!!!! You should have that looked into!

It had never done this before, so I figured it had to be the circuit box because the cb was working fine. I will get to call Isspro today.

It's RF bleeding over. I was able to lower the affect by better tuning my CB. hooked up an SWR meter and noticed that my SWR's were lower on a higher band. Adjusting the lenght of my antina wire made a differance and then fine tuning with the firestick antina got the SWR's under control.

On your Fire Stick check your SWR one more time, and if it is still right drop a couple drops of super glue on the slug. Then put the tip cap on your fire stick. The tunning slug does move in the fire stick if not glued. Had that fun before I figgered that out. ;)
