2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission instrament panel bulbs..

looking for info on the ip bulbs. maybe someone has had theres apart and looked at them. wondering how many bulbs are for backlighting in the ip and are they 194 or 168 style? someone said a while back, they we not removable from the bases that hold the bulb and contact the board. are just the bulbs replaceable. looking to convert all to blue leds. . i found them and currently have them in my guages. .



are the bulbs in the headlamp switch and hvac controls serviceable as well?

I have just pulled/broke the old bulbs out of the origonal socket and replaced them that way. Are the LED's bright enough? What is the part # and supplier for them and is it possible to get red or orange LED's

broke? are they glued in? how many bulbs are needed for illumination in the instrament cluster? not including all the warning lights and t-signals. .



stewart warner sells them, and yes, blue, red, orange, green



i have them in my guages currently and the are really bright. i have the blue.



they are the same size as a 168 or 194 bulb but they are a cuircuit board in that shape with the leds on both sides.

the bulbs are held in by the wires in the end of a 194 bulb. got it changed to blue led, but not satisfied yet. there flickering a little. still working on them
