Instrument cluster self test

I guess I was one of the ones that got lost tonight. A couple of weeks ago I saw a post
on how to trigger the self test of the instruments. Tried the search no luck. So does anyone remember how to trigger it? TIA

Hold in the trip odometer reset keep it in and turn your key to on do not start the truck hold trip reset untill you see ~~~~ things move across odometer let go of trip reset and watch all gages move to 3 diferent settings.
