Competition Intake and Exhaust manifold??

I ran a search, and found many to "possibly" see gains out of these upgrades. . Common sense says they HAVE to make a difference. . I know ATS has a nice looking piece with ports for water meth, etc. . I'm not overly concerned with looks, so that doesn't really matter. . What about the Banks Big Hoss intake?? Anyone have results with it? Is better than the rest??

I'm trying to cover all my bases as I'm building this truck. . Does anyone custom fabricate intake or exhaust manifolds??

I was looking at doing one and I asked several people what they thought and several said little to no gain at all and they ALL told me to spend that money on another mod that I would gain real power out of.

I have a manifold, that is similar to the boss hoss on Banks deal, but it is flange that bolts to the head, and you port to the flange, and then weld the plenum on. The distribution on this manifold will make a small difference, especially in the upper RPM’s range, but the real reason was being able to port the head, and reach the areas impossible to get to with out cutting the stock manifold off

Agreed. Just make it where you can port about 5 pounds of ugly grey iron.
