Do The Baffles In The Center Section Of The Intake As Well As The White Looking Ducts Serve Any Purpose? I Heard About Removing Them From Some Buddys, I Wanted To Ask Everyone Here Before Doing It Thanks
I'd think twice about removing the turning vanes in the curved section of the duct. They are there to help the air make the turn with minimal turbulence since turbulent airflow being ingested into the turbocharger's compressor impeller is going to negatively impact compressor efficiency.
I think they're mostly for reducing the whine of the turbo. If you remove it, it will be much more noisy, especially for the passenger. Just something to keep in mind if your partner is sensitive to that sort of thing. It can get old on a long drive.
