Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Intake bolt question

Blew an Intake gasket and was wondering what the proper torque on the bolts was before I replace the gaskets.

I wouldn't use a torque wrench on those sissy little bolts. I've stripped a couple of those things. The two gaskets hold a decent amount of boost without us doing the Armstrong thing on the bolts.

I have to replace the gasket under the long intake plate itself so i was just curious. I did get the two small gaskets for the horn and heater as well but thought the plate on the bottom would need torq. Thanks for the infO

No prob. And just in case you remove the power supply lines to the grid heater, those are torqued to 120 INCH/lbs. <-not FT/lbs!

The smaller the fastener the more important a torque wrench is.
