Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Intake Heaters

I'm converting a military diesel pickup and adapting it's existing systems where I can. I would like to use the glowplug control system for the intake grid heaters.



How much current do both the grids draw when on?

Quite a bit... I cant tell you exactly... . But they can pull my amp meter down from 14 to below 8 when they cycle on and off.

Here's what the '97 service manual says

The '97 service manual states that each heater draws approximately 95 amps, so about 190 total for both.
