Fuel Additive that Works!!!!

Smarty the start of an new era.

ALways happy to test stuff, but previous testing by another shop I know yielded a loss of about 8hp with the Banks and nobody wanted to pony up for one, so we didnt test it. If someone in the area has one or wants to get one, let me know, we'll work out some dyno time!

I woul be willing to remove the banks high ram of my truck for dyno testing. I would like to see how she compares to the ats, cfm, and the others. I just need to make sure the neighbors cat doesn't crawl under the hood of the truck with its muddy paws and furballs. I would have to plup up the water injection nozzle holes though. let me know I am sure we can work something out.

still, a couple explosions is enough for me. I'll stick with a metal elbow. For that matter, I'll stick with the stocker as it's been doing pretty well thus far :)

All flow/dyno comparisons I see are with 3rd gen intakes. yes, the 3rd gen is restrictive, but the 12/24v 2nd gens stock intake seems to do fine. Not going to get WOW awards but flows fine. Am I wrong here?

thats the theory, but we will be testing a CFM+ on an 01 today at 1pm, so we will see if it helps and how much. Mild truck with smarty and some other bits, but pretty typical stuff.

I also think the intake plate could be moddified to work in joint with an intake elbow as a set, similar in concept as the twinram but not as radical. This part has not been addessed yet without major head work.

What is this about exploding in the 60psi range? I am interested in a CFM for both my 07 5. 9 which is mostly stock and will remain that way and for my 99 24V which already has studs, o rings, intercooler and a helix 2 cam, and the list goes on... . the next step is going to the 80psi range and I hate when things blow up. So does somebody have some information about some construction issues and possible pressure problems?

CFM will not give a burst pressure or even a safe working pressure. Too many have come apart for me to want it on my truck in the middle of no where in the boost topping a big dune. :-laf The OEMs have been using composits with mixed results as well . I will stay with the more proven materials.

they blow up... if you want to waste money on an intake horn, get a quality metal one. (don't the Banks high rams also crack?)

Yeah, sorry guys, looking for another truck to comparison test. The CFM+ made 3hp low and was the same everywhere else. The "BUT" in the test was that no matter what level we put the Smarty on, power over 2300 or so was exactly the same. I suspect he may be running out of fuel (stock delivery system with towing injectors and a smarty)

CFM+ will tell you if you call him that he tested @ 100 psi burst with no problems.
