Ok, good. . I thought I ticked you off!!

Now, back to the discussion: I still can't find any scientific or indisputable tests showing that more air increases power. Only thing I can find is that adding air gives more power IF excess fuel is already being supplied to the motor. It seems if a motor has stock injectors/fueling parameters, the extra air doesn't help combustion.
And why did my truck make the same power after putting the large 2nd turbo on, without changing fueling yet make about 10 lbs more boost? Air didn't make a difference there, and I ran 3 0-60 times before and after the twin install. No difference.
Thanks
(I'm just full of questions... )

At least it didn't loose any power. :)

At the point you added the 2nd turbo you probably had enough air for your fuel charge and if it did add power it wasn't where it made a difference on either 60 ft or trap times.

This was on your 06 right? The CR's are just a bit more, ummm finicky, when it comes to making changes to the fueling or air. They will dynamically adjust to changing conditions and sometimes you scratch your head wondering what the heck happened.

The level you were at would make an impact also. 10-20 HP gain in the mid-range may not have been significant enough to change the end result given other variables, temp, air pressure, grains of water, etc. Then there is always the question how accurate is the timing system. Blows frequently get exchanged over that.

I have a hard time basing conclusions on the accuracy of a chassis dyno even trying to make back to back runs and match the conditions across days. I would NOT use track times to tune subtle changes. Pro-stock is notorious for hunting for that extra . 005 ET and . 2 mph. If they don't live in the dyno room and hit the setup dead on on race day, one and done.

Got no hard answers for ya, sorry. :)

You can get close hp numbers by using your mph,et's are influenced by many more factors. Did you use your 0-60 times or mph?

Operating under a load such as towing or using a load type dyno

Will allow you to see earlier spool up.

In dyno testing intakes I saw more than double

The torque gain on a modified crd as the

Stocker, but the stoker still showed a gain

Sure some will say it is not cost effective

But for the guys that tow a little more power

Without any higher egt's may be worth it.
