Everyone is still waiting for guys that

bought them to report back. they were

going to run them on dyno and get real #.

Even if it doesn't do anything at least it looks better than the stock part.

Yeah thats true it would look nicer than the stock part. In the description it says it helps with getting more air to cyl 4,5 and 6 and they are the hottest running cylinders in our trucks. Sounds like it could work. Just wish I could see some real work results...

Mobius send me a email address, and I will

send you a link to the guys that bought it.

They are just coming back with results.

I have been watching with much interest too, GDP's is a nice unit and they have a track record of well designed and manufactured products at reasonable prices I am not sure if I will be able to run this product given the upcoming CA diesel smog requirements, but I am sure that I will try to figure out a way. I think that it cannot do anything but help freer air flow, particularly to the rear cylinders.

GDP intake plenum cover, does it 'require' grid heater delete? I like the plenum cover idea but really like my trucks sub zero starting ability!

I haven't used a grid heater in 3 yrs.

and I have never plugged my truck in.

My truck stays outside in driveway.

I have never had a problem starting.

The first cold day it will it will throw

a low voltage code. I clear it in the

spring. Mobius did you get the link

I sent you.

i dont have a grid heater and with 63litre injectors it still starts right up in -20 degree temps, it sounds like an old dozer but still starts.

Aholt,

Yes I did, by the sounds of it, it seems that it is helping with keeping EGTs slightly lower, and improving throttle response as well. You can also keep your heater grid if you wish. Sounds like it may be worth getting. Thanks again Aholt!

I have 1 on order, will be getting it next week, probably have it installed pretty quickly. I am retaining the grid heater, Richard tells me there is no issue about keeping it. I will report my findings after it is installed.

I got my plenum and horn today. Hoping to install this weekend. My only question is what is the torque spec for the plenum bolts. If anyone knows off hand would be appreciated. I will be leaving the grid heater in place also I spoke with Richard about it and he said you will need bolts about a half an inch longer

Thanks Brent

Sorry Brent. I need to get manuals done. Should be 18 ft-lbs. Shoot me your e-mail address and I send you an abbreviated version of the factory manual.

Richard @ GDP

Brent,

Thanks for the reply. I sometimes get up Albuq. way, so maybe I'll contact you whenever I'm headed there and maybe I can look at your truck?
