Anybody know of a torque tube type product for second gens..... I ve seen them for 1st and 3rd gen trucks. Would a metal or plastic tube give you more turbo whine?

Been eyeballing the 4 inch flexible metal dryer vent tubing at home depot.....

AFE has a system that uses a 6" air filter(inlet size) that comes with a replacement tube. I am running it on my 94 with an HX-40. Works great and has a unique look. The tube is black with some sharp looking details molded in.

The loud system is dubbed the race system... ... ..... not the stage 2. The stage 2 is designed to be quieter while still flowing like crazy :D I have run both and dynoed way too many times :-laf :-laf if you want to hear the turbo go with the race system.

I bought a AEM Brute Force intake for my truck... . price was right @$200. 00 and it was a simple, 15 minute install. Included heat shield, dry flow filter (no oil) Intake tube , and rubber elbow. Sounds awesome... . I could barely hear the turbo whistle with the stock air box. Now she'll talk to you. ;)

Oh, you're looking for a hard solution to a simple problem. Just cut a few big holes in the stock airbox, obviously on the lower side, and this will give you some good sound and it's darn near free! I'm actually interested to see if anyone has mounted an air filter right to the turbo. Would there be any negative reactions to doing this? I'm fairly certain that the hot intake air wouldn't be that big of a deal with the intercooler up front and clean air coming into the engine compartment. This would substantially free up a lot of space under the hood.

I tried it, there's not really enough room to put a filter on the turbo. A filter with that big of inlet is pretty big. At least the aFe didn't work. Maybe a different brand would. :-laf

i might be wrong but i thought i saw an afe torque tube for 2nd gen. trucks in the genos catologe. what i was thinking is, will it work with the bhaf? anyone know?
