One HUGE Clevis

Anyone catch the POW-MIA bike OCC built? What's the painters name? Jason? Wow his graphics! The ending where they were doing the photo shoot was pretty deep.

I caught some of it. most of the fabrication stuff. they build some pretty sweet bikes.

did anyone see southern chopper? I think it was on Sunday night.

Ya nice bikes. But they do very little them selves. Mostly out sourced work from what I see. OCC is not really above or the better one. There are many bike builders out there. I thinks the thing that touches the people are the characters. Is though the reallest of the reallity shows by far.

West Coast chopper builds almost all the components on there bikes. But who can afford on also. If you want you can buy parts form West Coast choppers. Gas tank $550. Pipes $500 on up.

With the disapearance of TNN. Motor heads sorta got lost. Thank you Discovery channel. :)

For those of you that don't know...

Vinnie at OCC is SnowMan's brother from right here at the good ol TDR!!!

also since Speed is now on digital cable here..... Discovery is about all the gearhead TV i get

I missed last nights due to my eye lids getting in the way. What about last week when the old man benched 400 pounds. :--)

I saw it. There's another thread about safety where it came up. I got a kick out of the more laid back attitude and the paintball antics.

I am a bit turned off on the staged arguement thing on OCC... if in reality you or I worked in that atmosphere we would have killed the Old Man by now. . ya they do some nice stuff but not worth the BS... IMHO

at first it was cool program. . but the directors have ruined it, again MHO

Yes, the constant bickering is a turnoff. I just mentally tune them out and focus on my computer for a bit. While the purists in the crowd poo poo them for the level of their own handcrafting, that does not bother me. I don't even ride bikes although I have. I just like things that go fast even if I could never afford them. I also like metal fab. I enjoy the glimpses at some of the operations that supply OCC. These guys stepped in it and came up smelling like a rose. Their moment of glory will pass too.

Ya gotta admit they do build some NICE bikes!! I met them in Daytona at Biketoberfest. IMO, Vinny was the most down to earth of the bunch, willing to talk to everyone there (Iron Horse Saloon). The 2 Pauls were on Main st across from the Wreck. Couldn't get near them or anything, but the "Theme" bikes were there. If you ever get the chance to see their bikes, go! TV does the bikes no justice.

I like all the new machines they have because of their exposure on TV. Some of the machines they don't even know how to use. I like when Pauly TIG welds like it is really hard. The one thing I got out of the show other than entertainment is "Numb-nuts". Use it every day.
