It was mentioned recently that the dealer can order them, about 75. 00 I think they said.

Those rocks really make you feel like you're in a can, huh?

inner fender covers

I ordered from the Dealer and they only took a couple days to arrive. Ran me about $89 for the set, and took a whole 10 minutes or so to put them on. They really make it look more "finished", but if you ask me, should have been there to begin with.

You gotta be kidding us. I thought that the 2002's were stripped down versions w/o fender liners. Now their making the new models w/o kiners! Go fiqure!

I wish I knew why DC cheaps out on the simple things like wheel well liners, underhood lights, and the like. They may charge us a lot for these things when we buy them as "Mopar Accessories" ($75-80 for wheel well liners for instance) but they are pretty inexpensive for DC and they would have been nice touches to have been on the truck from the factory. While it was okay to leave these things off when trucks were basic vehicles (and cost next to nothing compared to cars), now that we're paying a premium for them and they are cash cows for DC, they should throw in these simple touches.

They ought to at least throw in the lighted mirrors to keep our wives happy (personally mine couldn't care less but some evidently do). Jeez, why give the wives a reason to hate Dodge trucks over an insignificant cost item like a lighted mirror?

speaking of lighted mirrors

Mine came without the auto dimming rearview mirror. Been wondering if the wiring harness is there to plug one in??

Jeez, If I had to choose - I would have preferred an underhood lamp to a glove box light! Hello Dodge!!! are you paying any attention? Better yet, why don't you just charge another $10 bucks for the truck and put it in there?

Greetings,

Check the "Green Giant" thread for pics and part numbers of the fender well liners. Took 15 minutes to install both sides. Jeff [/Baa]

I want to thank everyone for there help. I went to the dealer and bought a set, they were $89. 00. They a going in today.

That seems expensive. I would check moparforless before going to dealer. I paid around $50 which included shipping to my door.

Where do find moparforless?

Frmrdug - I ended up forgetting the dimming mirror on my order but the dealer had it as an aftermarket part and the wiring harness is already there. They just swapped it out - I think the dealer cost was pretty close to the option cost but don't remember exactly. Just another example of what used to be standard ... ... .

If that doesn't beat all!

I was just in the dealer this morning, and they said I didn't have the wiring harness up there to plug the mirror into. I could probably pull the console down and see for myself!

But, it also took them 15 min. to find the fender guards. They didn't look it up as accesories first...

By the way, I saw in their book where list price is 89. 00.

I couldn't get on the mopar website this morning, will try it again.

By the way, there is a critical recall on the auto transmission. Seems the t/c drainback check valve can stick and not allow the flow to the oil cooler.

Well I also bought and installed the well liners. $89. US equates to $ 147. 67 Canadian with taxes of course!

Oo. It perturbs me greatly that DC has decided to nickel and dime us after the large sum of hard earned cash we out layed for these trucks. "eg" 1. no wheel well liners 2. no light under the hood 3. No plastic storage bin behind the seat in the reg cabs. There was one in the 2002 1/2 tons.

My 95 had all the above right from the factory. These boy's at DC are getting cheap at our expense, and hoping we either don't notice , or won't care enough to say anything. There wrong on both. Pete

I didn't get the mirror either but the wire was there on mine also the service department told me that it would not be there if it didn't come with it. They were wrong. I had to pull the head liner down to find it. I could have got it out buy pulling down on the front of the head liner by the trip comp. and get my finger under there, it was tucked in next to the edge.
