I'm looking for replacement tires for my BFG 315/70R17s. I've run the Trxus on another truck with good results, but I don't want to go in blind after experiencing the death wobble with the BFGs. Has anyone run the Interco Trxus 35x12. 5R17LT M/Ts on a 3rd Generation? What do you recommend?

truxus 315's

I am running truxus 315's on 17" baja's with good results, im on a 2nd gen though, i find good control on wet roads due to the insane amount of siting on the treads, i find faster wear on the rear but 700hp does that :-laf . All around good they ride nice too. There a plyable composite very simmilar to your bfg's so they wear but they will stick to a track like no tommorrow, with a great tread design to expell dirt on exit .

Hey D,

Thanks for your comments. I agree with you completely with regard to the 2nd Generation trucks. I ran a set on my '96 2Gen, and loved them. My concern is with the 3Gen's suspension issues with regard to sidewall strength. The BFGs have a weird habit of going crazily out of balance for no apparent reason, but only intermitantly. Then they ride great again for long periods of time. Great for an occasional thrill, but not so pretty for the drawers! :)

Anyone out there with TrXus experience on a 3Gen?

Brian

i think a leveling kit would be needed for the 35" trxus to fit... the interco tires seem to match real well to the size they state them being, while the 315's are like 34" tall. .

Nick,

The leveling kit is no problem. I already have a set of +2" springs I'll be installing with Rancho 9000s, so I'm not worried about rubbing. My real concern is the sidewall strength. Thanks.

I think the load ratings on the Interco tires are very impressive. They're the highest I've found on tires in 17" diameter sizes.

Back to the question again --- Is anybody running the Truxus 35/12. 50R17 on a 3rd Gen? If so, how are they wearing? Wet pavement, etc, etc...

Thanks!

Nobody replied to my original question, or the original question for that matter. I couldn't find any good feedback on a SRW 3rd gen so I ended up going with the Parnelli Jones. I liked them, but I think I want to try something new. The PJs are now completely worn out and I need new rubber.

Anybody have any feedback on the TrXus on 3rd Gen SRW trucks?

Thanks!
