If you have a boot leaking, it will be at the inlet to the intercooler. Get under the truck and look up. Should be obvious. On the fuel line, it will look wet, as they tend to bleed or seep fuel. Will not drip, but will cause loss of prime. Change both of them, as they are together anyway. On the boots, Geno's has the silicone kits now.

My 97 had a boost leak. I found I had a leak after I installed a boost gauge on my pillar. Go to passenger side where the bottom of the intercooler connects to the boot. Since the boot there rubs against the inside of the fender lip it causes it to tear lenght-wise there. I had to remove my boots to see the tear. This may not be a problem on trucks newrer than 97.

How do you know you have a boost leak? Do you have a boost gauge? If you don't then you should get it. What year truck is it?

Mine had 7 psi max boost before I changed the boots and 25 psi max after. I got my boots from www.piersdiesel.com.
