Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Intercooler boot

Was looking over the truck the other day when I noticed that a piece of sheet metal from the core support was a little close to the hose on the post intercooler side. Too close as the pictures showIt hasn't cut all the way through yet but when I put the phat shaft 62 on tommorrow it would not be long. I guess I'll be doing a little cutting when I go to put the new boots on tommorrow. But I guess thats what happens when your performance mod tunnel vision blurs the other important things.

just take a big pair of channel lock pliers and bend it out of the way. that happens to alot of trucks.

I have a BD hose here that looks just like that, possibly the same length & same spot. I'll have to get some pics.

After seeing the damage to your boot,I went to check my own and found it to be worse. I already ordered the boot kit for when my new intercooler goes in!!

i think those are the ones i replaced my BD boots with... . they work a LOT better, well worth their money too!

Got the bd hoses from geno's delivered today gonna put them on tomorrow along with the phat shaft 62 and the ats manifold. Somehow i see o-rings and head studs in my future.
