Intercooler pipe sizes

Wondering what size the inlet and outlets are on 2nd and 3rd gen intercoolers and pipes. Inside and outside diameters would be helpful. What size are the intake horns?

IIRC: The I. D. of the inlet/outlet on a 2nd Gen IC is 3", but I believe the O. D. is 3. 5"... the necks are pretty thick aluminum.

The rest of the steel IC piping is 3" I. D.



I could be entirely wrong, though...

My third gen (03) used 3" pipe (OD) on both sides of the intercooler. The early 03's had a smaller discharge on the compressor outlet then it was expanded and on to the intercooler.

So... ... ... . 3rd gen boots won't work on a 2nd gen intercooler. OK.

I can't say for sure but I believe they both use 3" pipe. Pipe is measued OD so they should work. I'm not 100% on that though.
