intercooler ?

I now this has been asked before but will a 97 cummins intercooler work on my 1989 and how much msny changes will have to do get it to fit

The intercoolers from the second gens are too wide to make them easily usable. You can use a Ford SuperDuty intercooler, do a search on the subject you should be able to find someThing. That's what I have in my '91 puller. I must say that the polycarbonate/aluminum construction doesn't last long at 55+ pounds boost!

I installed a 1998 (24v) ATAAC in my 92.

I am using the smaller, earlier rad, though.

I had to lose the safety latch on the hood, and modify the upper brace on the rad support.

It actually fits really well.

intercooler

i have a 2004 powerstroke intercooler, not yet installed. but i can tell you it wont fit if you want to keep your A/C condensor. if you have one. i am adding a 91. 5-93 core support, then adding a 92 cross flow radiator. then moving, and cutting to get it to fit. if your going to add a inter cooler thats bigger than the 91. 5-93 stock I/C, you will have to do some cutting, and fabbing.
