I don't know if this will help you much but here goes...

After doing some serious measuring and having a 94 intercooler in front of me to help a bit also I can tell you that it will fit in a 72 suburban! The 1st gen intercoolers will fit in the Burb also but I'm finding it hard to locate one used. I would thing that if a 1st or 2nd gen intercooler will fit in a 72 suburban it should fit in an older Dodge.

check out www.hughs.com for the phone number.

I talked to the owner about a year ago, and he said he could get both custom built and replacement intercoolers at a discount.

Although the site talks only about radiators, he can also get heater cores, intercoolers and I believe, A/C evaporators and condensers.

His price was better than excellent, too.

Do ya ever feel really dumb????????

Well, I have a late model intercooler if anyone is interested. Won't bolt up to an OEM core support without a lot of modifications. It is too wide, and to blow holes in the support for the air hookups would effectively take out the two 'supports' on either side. I have found a 93 intercooler local here for 250. 00 in excellent shape, and what with my rush to finish this project will probably go ahead and get it.

> Intercooler found in bed of wrecked 93 CTD- $75. 00

> Intercoolers found since then that would of worked, but I didn't need one- $125-250. 00

> Dumb look on my face when intercooler I have is wrong one- Freakin priceless:p
