Interest in SACRAMENTO VALLEY TDR Chapter?

Hello, half a dozen guys in Vacaville and Dixon wondering if there is enough interest in forming a chapter in the area please e-mail, or pm, with interest and any ideas. Thank you Jeff

Hey, willyslover, you must be driving the starship Enterprise and not a Dodge. I mean, if you are 2. 5 miles from Sacramento and 2. 5 miles from San Jose, you must be warping space! Maybe I will get to meet you at a get together soon.

I was starting to get a little uptight now we have some interest and I feel much better. I'd like to wait another week to see how much more hopefully lots of people are away for the holidays.

-Tom, I know you've done some get togethers up your way and maybe can drum up some more interest.

-Willy I myself would be happy to have you in any capacity you choose nothing hard core just a group of people with the same interest looking out for and enjoying one another.

-And Gunner I'm with you but maybe willy meant 2. 5 hours?

-Brandon very happy to see you respond was going to call but thought I'd wait and see.

-My feeling is that Sac. would be, from the respones that we've had on here as well as e-mail the most central location, but I'm open to anything (times, places, how often) when we get togther we can talk about this. Also the Ramrunners are down in S. J. so I dont know how far there membership streches east. I'm putting a list of all interested with names, addresses, phone numbers and nicknames if on the TDR together so please pm me with that info. I'd say we can start thinking of a first meeting place and time maybe sometime end of Jan? Treeman had in the past volentered (I know thats not right) a open lot but with the weather I think we'd be better off with a resturant or meeting hall of some sort plus I haven't heard from him.

Might plan for an early spring first get-together - gives plenty of time for advance planning and organization, and getting the word out - then, an outdoor meeting would work - and more elaborate future meetings could be planned when you get a grip on likely attendance. You might consider Imlers Performance Diesel in Sacramento - he's been supportive of the group in the past - it's good potential business for him as well as for the group.

With enough advance planning, it would allow for posting of flyers in appropriate locations to contact more potential interest than just thru this source...

I'll throw in my support.



I really like the idea of parallel groups in close proximity to the Ram Runners. This way we can hook up for trips or events like May Madness. Logically not everyone can make it to SJ for the meetings.



Like was said earlier, Ian would let us hang at his corp. yard which is not far from Sack raceway. I could get some fresh crab for a lil boil lunch. Weather could play a major role of course.
