Went up to the mountians drinking and fishing with family and friends over the 4th. Where we go its 1 road in and 1 road out and thats it. Well it all started on the 4th the sun went down and they started shooting off fireworks  . We are still trying to get out of a drought and they are shooting pop bottle rockets off, I couldn't believe it.

Then we get up Monday morning and the motor on my boat was loose, tires on the quads were flat and everybody that didn't have a locking pin for the hitches was GONE :( . Atleast everybody had some spare pins and a few hitches. Another camp they even cut the sparkplug wires on his generator and flattened all of his tires and even stole his booze.

So if your hauling anything it might be a good idea to check the pin to make sure its still there. I know all of our boats and ATV's were still hooked up to trucks without any pins. Needless to say we did test the safety chains with the trailer hauling the ATV's and they did hold thank god.

Hope everyones 4th was a good one.

Sounds like it's huntin' season:mad:

Biker logic kicks in. If anyone had ever pulled that ***** on me while I was camping, there would be a missing persons report filed in a couple of days by someone else's loved ones.

EDIT - Sounds like some tree huggers were trying to take matters into there own hands. Ruin the RV's, disable the polluting generator, and maybe the trailer would come off the truck and roll off a ravine and destroy the ATV's. But nobody thinks ahead (READ - does not consider the consequences of their actions), and it was damn lucky the chains did hold. Could have killed a variety of people on the interstate if it did come lose there.

I couldn't agree with you more Sticks. We had 6 dogs up there that slept right through it too. People really don't think about what would happen if they would have got caught, because I would have met them with a 45 cocked and ready to rock.

I'd have a guard posted next trip, it would be swell to snag some of our local terrorists, maybe show em an old mine shaft or something.

I'm amazed that happened! Wouldn't you love to catch 'em in the act. I may not have actually shot 'em, but I can guarantee they would have seen the muzzle blasts and had the "you know what" scared out of 'em.

I am a very light sleeper, and the Defender 80 sleeps right next to me. A couple rounds over their heads ought to be enough to make some dirty laundry.
