2 things serious.

Has anyone found there's backed off after tightening it, I have seen some posts with some really bad welds and some really nice welds so I never had mine done?

Guess I will add some torque paint to that thing if they are still worried about it and the RCA is lacking in someone's eyes. RCA's are tricky at times we do alot of them and most times should maybe be completed with a peer review. Maybe they are already?

I will ask the basic question what does the 4x2 actually mean? Some old school marketing lingo? That is just a 2WD truck or am I missing something? Dont want to derail this post. I did read this article when it came out,

Just 2 wheel drive, nothing more or less. Its how it was sold to me by ram. I guess 4x4 should be 4 wheel drive as well.

I think everyone would be wise to run a paint marker across the nuts on the link. When the recall first came out I marked mine, they've yet to move. After speaking to a coworker with a 15 DRW we crawled under it one day after talking about this recall and low and behold found a jamb nut semi loose. We cranked it down tight and I offered to help with loctiting the nuts but at that point he was freaked out and had the recall done. He gained nothing by doing it. Truck came back with the same parts welded up.

So, maybe the system works!!

When this issue first came out, I found my off drivers side lock nut would freely move with one finger. I applied a liberal amount of blue loc-tite and tighten the lock nut after "clocking" each end the same with the wheels pointed straight ahead. I just checked and everything still looks fine. I believe that the ends may not have been clocked the same at the factory and shape turns caused the lock nuts to loosen.

About the "system working", I filed a complaint on safercar stating that RAM fix by welding the lock nuts was not acceptable to me, as this adjustment was intended to be available.

I believe that RAM should be replacing all of these drag links. So I am waiting it out, and physically checking mine from time to time, along with being aware and looking for any changes in steering while driving.
