Yep, gas lines. The nitrogen is on my truck because of the ac lines.

Chris, I didn't know you had left the trade. If you want to do service down this way, let me know, we are in dire need of some service techs, and pretty soon we'll be needing some new construction tinners.

I'm afraid I propagated some misinformation on this thread that I need to correct. I assumed that since nitrogen has 1 fewer proton and a smaller mass than oxygen that it would be physically smaller. I was wrong. Turns out nitrogen is actually slightly larger in diameter than oxygen. Nitrogen is 75 picometers and oxygen is 73 picometers in radius. My source for this is:

I apologize for any harm I may have caused with that assumption.

Actually, I'm thinking more about inflating my truck and RV tires with HELIUM for the added lift it would provide in counteracting the weight of those items - lessee, with the sheer volume of 10 tires at an average PSI of 60 PSI or so, I might hafta load a few rocks in the bed of my truck to keep the tires in contact with the pavement...

At least it might make it easier to rotate those big 285's and 315's! Just be careful to hang on to them while changing along the side of the road! I could just see it now... take tire off, turn around to put on the spare and it's floating away! :-laf :D

I fill mine with a Specialy Formulated 78. 08% nitrogen, 20. 95% Oxygen, 0. 934% Argon Mixture. I get it right from my air compressor.

Just kidding. I couldn't justify 100% nitrogen unless I had a very cheap source with a easy to store location. Too many toys in the garage.
