Damn, $17,100 and the reserve is not met :--)

If I could sell mine for that much I could build a replacement with the profit I made.

It's not even really clear how it came about. He calls it a custom '92 crew cab, but no more explanation. Rear doors and door panels are obvious factory crew pieces just like my '83, but it is a long bed 4wd. I've only seen one other crew long bed 4wd and it was a frame strech. He doesn't say if it is a 4wd conversion, older cab on newer frame, newer clip on older frame   Wish there were more info.

That's an awful lot for that truck, it looks like it has been used to plow with also, isn't that what the mount hanging under the front is for?

Too much $$

I wish the guy luck, but I just got a '92 W350 Dually, x-cab, 4X4 with 70,000 original on a CTD in AMAZING condition for $10,000 last May. If he gets 17K mine's going up for sale quick.

when you list a vehicle on ebay, their software automaticly enters various options based on the VIN number. hence the 318 V8 that was originally in that truck

I e-mailed the man when I looked at the truck and this is what I got back from him. Just figured this would answer a few questions

I built the truck. I had a 92 reguler cab long box 4x4 cummins black with low miles (73,600). I stretched frame 34" between cab mounts it done right I do this kind work for a living. I bought crew cab & rear doors & put it all together. $18,000 will buy the truck call me if I didn't anwser all your questions. thank you for interst.

Seems right except for that it says it's a 318,maybe he messed up and put 318 in there. It's nice but still man,not 18k nice,Sam will probably have less than that in his truck when he's done and we all know he does great work :)

I can't believe the bid has reached $17k. Exhaust looked awful small- must be cause 3" next to such a big truck looks small:D. Speedo heads can be swapped out easily. Horrible thing to paint the grill, terrible. Incorrect tailgate, must have been used from his crew donor. Custom made rear bumper from the looks of it. But it sure is an awesome looking truck!!! I'll trade ya for it, lets see hmm, 78 power wagon+ 6 cans of Mt. Dew, 04 Scheids Diesel calendar, .....

That thing hanging down under the front bumper is a mount for a Western snow plow, and being from Iowa and knowing how people drive snow plows up there, I would not buy a used one.

the e bay truck

comeon guys i just did a swap my swap on my 85 crewcab long bed and in no way would i try n sell it for 17,000 its not a bad looking truck but ive got one just like it anyone needs the body parts to build one like it for cheaper e mail me if you do

You can't legally change the VIN on the cab. Federal laws say the title goes with the frame under the body. He technically has a 92 250 Crew cab and the title should be for the 92. The correct thing to do is have the truck inspected and assigned a new VIN tag by a state official.

Interesting item

Yep, very interesting. Interesting comments as well. Remember guys, there are a whole lot of folks that don't know which way a right hand threaded bolt turns and would twist it off thinking they were loosning it. So if they ever own a first gen crew, it will have to be built by someone else. If they really want the Cummins, and in a Dodge, they only have the new mega cab to have a really decent full sized crew cab. And what are they sticker priced. Better than fifty grand I would expect so the price on the ebay truck is relative.

Now I expect to have waaaaaaay less than that when I get through with mine, and you can bet your boots I would sell for that in a heart beat. It is a nice looking truck for someone.
