Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Interesting news about the LP

A good friend of mine is an engineer for a 'pump' company. I can't say the name due to obvious reasons after you read this, but here goes.



They have been selected by Cummins to produce a new Lift Pump for the ISB's, and one of the new Specs for the pump is that it lasts 600,000 miles. I'm hoping to get my hands on one of these babies after they're producing them, but it's all 'in the works' right now...

With our luck, it'll be for the 3G trucks, not a retrofit.

Hey, remember we're the guys using HP gasser pumps wired in parallel, series, or whatever, with some others using propane, NO2, building twin turbo setups... ... ... .



Wanna bet if it comes on the market... ... we'll make it fit

Barry Grant fuel pumps build some nice units for racing and street automotive use. I found a real good lookin unit called the Enduro that was designed for 18psi. So I called them and they said it wasn't really for diesel fuel as far as he knew.



So I wrote them a very nice letter asking them to perhaps look into testing or seeing if they could adapt or build one like it for diesel since I can think of at least a couple thousand trucks that could use one. Worth a shot. Doesn't hurt to ask.
