Interior dash panels different color shade

My truck has the charcoal interior, and when the light hits it right I swear the top of the dash is a darker color than the lower panels, such as the glove box. It is really noticeable where the dash peices come together. Has anyone else noticed this? It's almost like the color mix on the plastic between parts wasn't right.

It's entirely possible your truck was assembled with parts from either 2 different batches of plastic or 2 different suppliers. Does it bother you? Do people get in and say "wow, this is a nice truck... except for the 2-tone dashboard"?



Different areas will also fade differently...

Not to be a smart +++ but I havent noticed it on mine.

The day after I bought it I got a dash cover and ordered a complete dash kit.

I have not noticed a color variation either. Mine seems to be the same. I too installed a dash cover about a month or 2 after getting the truck. The dealerships offer the dark gray paint, mine had it in stock-which truthfully suprised me as they normally don't seem to stock much of anything for the 2006's. I went in to get paint to match the A-pillar, which I might add they do not stock and do not have a p/n for. Not to steal your thread, but I do have a question regarding getting paint to match the A-pillar. I cannot find the off-white/light gray anywhere. If anyone can tell me where to get some, please pm me with that info.

My dealer is able to get it, if I talk to the right counter person.

My '05 is the same way. I had a brand new '03 and it matched well but when I got my '05 I noticed the same shade differences that you're talking about. It bothered me at first since my '03 wasn't that way but now I don't care.
