Interior Dome Light

My Dome light has quit working when I twist the headlight knob to manually turn it on, but comes on fine when you open the door? The map light on the dash still comes when you twist the headlight knob but no dome light, anyone with ideas?

My suggestion is that you probably have a half-cooked or half-baked headlight switch. Do the headlights work fine all the time. This area gets hot on these trucks and you may have a damaged switch. You can do a search on this lislt regarding the headlight switches and the preferred repair of putting in relalys. Probably just replacing the switch will change things. (Just a guess though. ) Long term though is get the relays.

Or it could be the door switches, they get worn out, and as with all electrical grounding issues are usually the problem.

Alright both door switches are new and I have installed the relays on the parking lamps side as well as the high and low beam side for the headlights, as to take the load off the switch, maybe the relays were not in time?
