Stupid question about 03 steering box, but ...

I finally figured out why my mileage sucks

I hooked up my fuel pressure gauge in a SRT-10 pillar mount. Works fine (well, about 7lbs at idle). The problem came when I went to hook up the lights to the gauge. I have a steering pod with EGT and PYRO so I tapped into the wire coming off my headlight switch to those two guages. When I hooked it up, problem! My intrument cluster lights, my dome lights, and my cd player have quit working. I disconnected the wiring and checked fuse 51 in the box (OK) but still no lights. Ya think I fried the headlight switch? My fogs, headlights, and blinkers are working fine, but the indicators for the blinkers on the cluster are not working either. Help!!!

I dont know if this would help but might as well try it to see if it gives you an error regarding your issue.

Cycle your ignition, put your key in and turn it to the battery but not turning your engine on, do this about three to four times and on you odometer it should give you a code, if not it will just say DONE. Doesnt hurt to try though.

I tried replacing the headlight switch, did not work. $51 experiment. Still no instrument cluster lights or dome lights. I checked for codes and none are stored. This circuit just appears to not be activating. Anyone know if there is a relay that feeds this switch?

Check fuses # 18 and #22 in your power distribution center. They are the battery feeds to the instrument cluster, which operates your dome lights. Hopefully this will solve your problem.

ocly, you found it. I had visually looked at the fuses but after reading your post I checked it with my ohm meter and it was bad. Thanks so much for your help.
