Sorry for the double post, but after reading Mick2500's reply to Eric above, I couldn't resist not sharing this... .

The Lone Ranger and Tonto are camping in the desert, had set up their tent, and have gone to sleep. Some hours later, the Lone Ranger wakes his faithful friend, "Tonto, look up at the sky and tell me what you see,"

Tonto replies, "Me see millions of stars. " "What does that tell you?" asks the Lone Ranger. Tonto ponders for a minute, "Astronomically speaking, it tells me that there are millions of galaxies and potentially billions of planets. Astrologically, it tells me that Saturn is in Leo. Time wise, it appears to be approximately a quarter past three. Theologically, it's evident the Lord is all powerful and we are small and insignificant. Meteorologically, it seems we will have a beautiful day tomorrow. What it tell you, Kemo Sabi?"

The Lone Ranger is silent for a moment, then speaks, "Tonto, you Dumb A$$, someone has stolen our tent. " #ad

The red thing in the upper left is an Auto-Meter "Pro-Lite" oil pressure warning light. It has a red cover slipped over it, to reduce the brightness at night. This light is VERY bright, there is no way to miss it when it comes on! Upper right: gauges in place of drink holder tray (left to right) boost, EGT, oil temp, trans temp. They’re VDO "Cockpit Series" gauges. Stereo: Sony in-dash CD player, along with a 6-disc MiniDisc changer mounted on the floor in front of the center seat (not visible). Buttons on the shift lever: Gear Vendor overdrive & BD exhaust brake. That’s a Uniden Bearcat scanner in the center of the picture below the a/c-heater controls. I made my own mounts for drink holders out of pieces of scrap metal that are fastened to the floor using the shift boot screws. You can see one of the drink holders in the lower right corner. You can also see the CB mike in the center at the bottom. The left drink holder is not visible, as it’s right in front of the center seat. The right drink holder is visible because it’s mounted a little farther forward than the left one, because just behind it is the 6-disc MiniDisc changer. The switch panel in the center is 2" aluminum angle mounted to the underside of the dash.

Okay yogibear, let me see if I can find Waldo in there…. . never mind, I'll never find him among all this cool stuff. Let’s see what we've got, and I'm sure I'll miss a few things.

1) Electric trailer brakes, 2) dual gauges, 3) radar detector, 4) cell phone, 5) BD exhaust brake switch, 6) CB or ham radio, 7) laptop, 8) external speaker, 9)hands-free telephone mic. How many did I get right? There are a few things I can't make out. What is: 1) to the left of the radar detector, 2) the clock looking thing below the steering column, 3) silver box in front of the external speaker?

yogi, you have done the accessory nuts proud!! BTW, was your steering wheel leather coming apart? I noticed your wheel cover and like the looks of it. I'll have to do the same thing very soon. My Ford leather wheel gave out after 6 years. My Ram is giving up after a year... . disappointing #ad

Thanks for sharing your rig!! #ad

David

David, to the left of the radar det. is a cig. lighter(I've got lots of bad habits, and one is smoking),and bus. card holder, below is the press. guage for the air bags, I put the steering wheel cover on right away, its comfortable, and protects the leather, your right on all the rest!!
Larry

Guys,

Thanks for all the great photos! These should give many super ideas to lots of us for our projects. It seems some of you have found ways to interject radios and the like in places like the cubby bin and the soon-to-be-removed ash trays. Shoot, mounting my CB was challenging enough while trying to make it look clean as well as functional. My imagination obviously needs a tune-up! #ad

Salutations to all #ad

Red-Rattler, they do look a little like the X-brand mirrors, but they both have round tires and steering wheels too, and thats pretty hard to change. They are elect. adj. , and heated, which the X-brand doesen't have(heat) I got to try the heat out too. Got snowed in Cheyenne last Tue. night there for 40 hrs. , and the heat worked great!!!
