How do I remove the aluminum colored plastic trim piece in the center of the dash around the radio and AC controls without breaking it?

Unfortuantely I am not at my home computer to look at the pictures of my prodigy install but I will try to help.

You have to remove the entire section around the bezel. I know there is a screw above the hook by the glove box that needs to be removed and I think there is another under the panel below the steering column(you will have to remove that panel as well). Once they are removed take out the ashtray by pulling it straight. Then start pulling at the edges of the panel that holds the bezel you are trying to remove, there are clips that will pull out. The bezel is held in by screws if I remember correctly.

Good luck!

Don't know about the trim itself but you can remove the whole center piece that the trim is mounted to and I suspect the trim can then be removed from the back, unless it is held on with 2 sided tape. The center piece is held on with spring clips and one screw. The spring clips are located around the outside of the A/C loovers. Just start pulling on the outside of the assembly and the spring clips will pop our of their mounts. The screw is black and is on the passenger side of the assembly about 1/3rd of the way up from the bottom of the assembly if I remember correctly. I don't think you can see it until you start getting the spring clips to pop out. I am doing this from memory so hope I am leading you in the right direction. I did not do this myself but watched a tech at an alarm shop pop my whole center section out in about 30 seconds. I drove home with it hanging out so I could splice into one of the wires after I got home. It was a piece of cake to put back in.
