2000 Gen 2 Diesel, 4 Speed Auto Trans 46RE

Between 30 and 50 MPH at cruise, the engine speed will momentarily increase 50 RPM... it may do it once, or repeat 3 or 4 times during slight throttle position (cruise)
I turned off overdrive (4th gear) and still had problem.

Using odometer and key off, on three times I get no codes "Pdone"

I pulled 3 electrical connections off auto 4 speed trans and cleaned and coated with dielectric grease.

The fuel filter had 13K miles, I changed fuel filter.

I changed trans filter and 9 quarts of ATF4, the level is now showing 1/4-3/8" ABOVE full mark... . , the original fluid was red, not brown

I would appreciate any troubleshooting tips!! I don't want to fry my trans!!

I checked the numerous threads on this great site!
I ordered a DTT noise filter and will clean ground connections.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks

Cold frosty day in the afterlife when I throw $1100 at a light miss or erratic throttle with no pump codes and further diagnostics.

Symptoms fit TPS sensor. Fought mine for 2 years with the dealer to get it replaced under warranty. Never threw a code until it went TU.

I agree with Sticks. Look at the TPS. CLean it and the connections, use the di-elecric grease when you reconnect. I think this is a good first step. I used to get this and haven't had it in the past few years after I did the clean and grease. I used to get it after heavy rain or washing the engine compartment. I attributed it to water/moisture getting into the connections nad then going away after they dry out.
