I have had a brake pull at times truck jump into left lane when braking will work fine for several weeks then start pulling every time you brake. When this is happening will almost jerk steering wheel from your hands. both front calipers have been replaced 2 times and hoses also. Rear brakes have been cleaned and adjusted, and front pads replaced still will pull at times. If anyone has had this problem please help with suggestions.

i don't know about suggestions, but i'll let you know that i have the same problem. i'll be slowing down semi-hard when all of a sudden it'll start pulling hard to the left or the right. i remember something about greasing the calipers, but nothing much on it. at least it stops so i've learned to somewhat deal with it.

Tom

Take the calipers off and file smooth the sliding surfaces on both the caliper and the knuckles. Pull the caliper pins and polish them. Grease the pins and the sliding surfaces with HIGH TEMP BRAKE GREASE. No other grease can be used, period. Look for about 60% cleanup on the sliding surfaces, that is enough. Take care not to change the angles on the sliding surfaces of the calipers or the knuckles. Worked for me.

Have just replaced both calipers cleaned and polished slides used high temp brake grease also these had new pins checked to see if they moved free when installing after greasing pins everything seemed ok.

I'm not sure about using "HIGH TEMP BRAKE GREASE. " I used a "synthetic caliper pin grease" (from Advance) and it has been working great for 50K miles.

WOT, the grease you used is a high temp brake grease. It is designed to be used on brakes, that is the whole point. Anything else is UNSAFE. Any brake grease is fine, just so happens that mine is synthetic too.

Like LSMITH said (helped me finally get mine straightened out about 22k ago - (Thanks again and long time no talk) - and it doesn't matter if they're new (remanufactured) check and file all the surface dings and dents, then lube those slides up not too much just a thin coat on both areas. SMOOTH!;)

Oh don't forget to even out those rear brakes too if you're in the realm of the rear drum crowd. Wouldn't have though they had much to do w/the front till I evened em up!

Not to start a war on synthetic vs standard, but I have used High Temp bearing grease (standard) before I found it doesn't hold up as well as the synthetic stuff. This was on another car, but the standard stuff got kinda thick & sticky after about 80 K miles.

Either way, ANY attention is good as I found mine dry as a popcorn fart when I pulled my pins out.
