I have a 2018 CTD with 12k miles now and I think I’m having electrical issues. With the cruise set it works normally for a while and then you hit an up hill grade and it keeps getting slower and slower then all at once it kicks in, down shifts and accelerates back up to the set speed. After doing this the fuel pedal is extremely sensitive, either on or off. There is no feathering it. It is either accelerating or decelerating and does this mainly after it gets hot. I’m 1300 miles away from home and I’m going to try to limp it home to get it to my dealer. It still pulls good but it’s so aggravating. EB works normally but every now and then when I crank it cold the ABS light and Electronic Brake Control Light comes on and goes off. May do this 1-10 times and then stays off and doesn’t display any codes. When the cruise is acting screwy, it surges pretty bad also. Any and all ideas appreciated.

When the speed control is set, if you come to a hill and use the pedal to keep the speed up does it help?

It will if I don’t catch it in time but like I said you can’t ease in to the throttle and when you mash down it won’t try to pick it up. Sometimes you can bump the throttle and the cruise will take back off.

Well on the way back on our 4500 mile trip the ABS, Electronic Brake Control Light came on. So no cruise, Tow/Haul feature would only work decelerating. Wouldn’t hold it in gear longer to keep the rpm up. Engine Brake would only work sometimes. Took it to the dealer today and they read the codes and said they had to order the parts but it wouldn’t hurt to drive it and they would call to schedule an appointment when parts arrive.
