So this started just after I got the truck home. I moved from one driveway to an other and the engine stopped. Restarted moved and stopped. Then ran fine. Week later and 1,000 miles into my get to know each other trip and the truck starts hick upping on the freeway going through Portland after 3 hours of driving. Did it for 7 - 8 times, not in conjunction of the bumps in the road or anything.

So we are a week later and it starts hic-cuping on the way to local Ace, 2 miles away. Engine just dies then runs again. 17 PSI on the FASS to the VP. No Water in the Water Trap. Does it for 8-10 times. Just like you bumped the ignition switch off then on again.

Checked Codes and

P0521

P1693

P1765

P0622

Looking for Cause and effect. The oil Pressure Gauge has been working intermittently, so that code doesn't surprise me. I read on another forum that a MAP Sensor had an effect on the oil pressure sending unit. I see where they share a 5 Volt source.

Thanks Guys

Michael

No apology necessary. That brings back memories...the 27 was a no nonsense but very stable platform.

Mine was jerking around and acting up. I would stomp it and the truck would fall flat on its face.
My problem was bad orings on my fuel sump and I was sucking air into the fuel lines.

I took the battery terminals apart and installed military grade connectors. Haven’t had a chance to drive it yet. Also added grease to the interface between the battery posts.

Thanks
Michael

Does sound Electrical. You could start checking grounds. I had a intermittent problem on my 99 which has a very large inline plug back by the firewall on the Drivers side. I partially pulled it apart not seperating completely and wiggled the ends to get better contact and the problem went away. I really need to disconnect the batteries and clean every plug and ground I can find then dielectric grease everything ( damn electronic vehicles).
