Truck sat for a month while I was out of country, started up as usual and noticed no display on clock. This is the OEM radio, cassett player and clock. This has gone on now for several weeks, then yesterday started truck and clock was at 12:00, indicating that power was lost and now back. Turned on radio and it worked, but it would not turn off with it's on/off button.

Several times while using truck clock would show power, then it quit again and has not worked today.

I suspect the ignition switch. Wiring harness recall was installed on truck, along with I think a new headlamp switch that was part of the recall.

I searched back 100 days and did not find anything on this. Help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Try checking the ground connections for the dash and the radio. I had a similar problem on my Jeep and it ended up being a bad ground connection to the dash. A poor ground can cause some really strange things to happen.
