Intermittent Wiper Wire

Today I noticed that my wipers do not work on intermittent. They work on the "low" and "high" setting but not anything before that. I know this may be a bother but can one of you guys with a service manual for an 01 tell me what color the wire is for this or what my problem may be so that I can see if I can fix it without having to take it to that joke of a service department. Just had the very problem myself,I had disconnected my door bell alarm and I soon learned that this alarm is connected to the intermittent wipers, check your connection,its inside the bolster panel below the steer column.
