Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) internal injector failure

What is this fault. A friend of mine's truck died. He had it towed to a local small shop and they told him that it has an internal injector failure code. What the heck does that mean?? I do not know anything else yet as I have not had a chance to speak with him personally.

They probably mean a Injection Pump Timing failure (p0216) error. The only injector failure I am familiar with is when a tip breaks off and destroys a cylinder/piston.
