internal injector pump failure

Maybe, maybe not. You need to make sure you have fuel up to the injection pump, then it'll take alot of doing to get it to the injectors. Have you cracked a fitting going to the injection pump to ensure the fuel is up to there and your lift pump works? It is possible to get the code due to running out of fuel and not actually having a problem.

I do have fuel through injector pump, and to injectors. bled off all air. in fact, pumped five gallons of fuel through it.
