I recently installed a 5 inch single grandrock stack on my 02 and it is a bit too loud in the cab for my liking now and was looking for input on wether the internal stack muffler will make a noticable difference in lessening the noise level.

Has anyone gone with and without the muffler and how much of a difference did it make?

The mufflers are inexpensive but I would like to know before spending more money on something if it won't make a noticable difference.

Well I might try one. I installed a 6" Miter Cut a few weeks ago and it is pretty loud in the cab. I used an Aero Turbine 5050XL muffler underneath to keep it quiet as possible. I posted on other forums on the install. Mine is actually not really loud outside, but is pretty loud inside. I may try one of the stack mufflers, but I doubt they will really have any effect inside the cab.

This is link to the install.

Do you have a link or contact for where you got the rain cap for a mitre cut stack? I have seen them in the past but can't find it now. I may have to get one of those also.
