1997 12v truck, it was partially submerged, water entered motor or at least part of it.

Motor runs fine, but there's a huge water leak into motor oil. I replaced head gasket, nothing has changed still a lot of water in oil. I removed motor oil cooler behind oil filter, cleaned all surfaces, and reapplied gaskets with a light coat of Permatex High Temp silicone to help sealing.

If I add water into radiator, and leave oil plug open (no oil in pan) I can see a small drip from the plug hole.

Is there any other places where water could enter oil passages ? Or is this a certain sign of a cracked block ?

I have to say I suspect motor was heat shocked when got wet (it was hot then immerged in water).

A friens of mine just had the same problem with his '97. We thought it was a head gasket, then the coller. It ended up being a SEVERLY cracked head. It cracked betwee all the valves. Not saying that's your problem, but it's worth looking into if you haven't already.

I would look at the head before the block , its to late now but if your going to take the head off , then have checked at a good machine shop for cracks , if ok , then check for straight , and I do not think that any gasget manufacture would ever want to back the gasget with out at least one pass on a surfacer , to at least giving the surface that they want there gasget to try to stick to .
But that always leves out the block witch in 25-30 yrs. every process [ sanding , 3M buffing pads ect has some down fall { usally particals from there product getting into areas that you can not get it out of }].

Head was serviced completely:

Magnafluxed, new seals, cleaned, and shaved . 060. I used stock gasket.

It is too large of a leak to be just that. I don't have any oil in motor yet, I filled up radiator and started to drip from oil pan plug hole after a minute or so.

Now radiator is half way full, approx level with middle of motor.

I am going to give up on it, I just listed it for sale..... $ 3800 or MAKE ME AN OFFER !!!!!!!!!
