Where Was My Camera

What was your 1st car ?

I use DSL at my office to "become more enlightened via TDR... " :-laf But, at home I have dial- up service. Lemme tell ya' it is a vast diffence in refresh speed of the page (y'all are stinking long winded in the typin' :D :-laf )

I have been getting promotion discs, e-mails... etc... for something called "internet accelerator" for dial- up service. Anyone familiar with it/ using it? recommend it? Is it worth the extra jack?

Thanks in advance.

Verbosely yours,

-frank.

The short answer is no. There's only a couple ways to improve your speed on dial up - 1 is they have a server that lowers the resolution and removes the colors from pictures so there is less to transfer (I don't think many do this). The other is they cache the pages so that they load super fast but that causes problems on forums like this because it will load an old version of the page that won't have all of the new posts, etc. Are you using the dial up skin for the TDR site when you are at home? That will speed things up a TON although it won't look as good. On the lower left of every forum page you'll see a drop down menu that probably says "--Default" if you haven't changed it. Pull that menu down to the dial-up/pda skin.
