I found a way to deal with this, a couple of extra steps but brings the daily posts up in the fashion that we are used to....

Try this...

Select "New Posts" as we have always done..
Then open any post......
Then find "Quick Links" , right under "TSB's" on the black control bar up top.....
Hit the "Quick Links" button, opens up a drop down menu.
Select "Today's Posts"...

I can live with the extra step or two.

Try it and tell me if that is going to help...

Mike.

I find it a lot harder to deal with this way. My own post used to count as a new post, I should not have to go dig it out if I want to edit or add another reply.

Many of us count on the "New Post" as a quick way to keep up when we check the site many times throughout the day.

JMHO.

X me also,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Works for me, Thanks Mike!

Usually when the Admins/Webmaster(s) "upgrade" the website, it is for the best, maybe this time too. A few hints on how to navigate the recent changes would have been useful and appreciated. Jess

Thanks for the tip Mike. Doing that at least puts it back to a reasonable level. I hope they fix this as the extra steps are not really a big deal but going to Phoenix via Buffalo is a little weary.

I am working outside on my new project, I will post some photos later on...(A DTS Caddy)....

However I just took a minute while grabbing a snack to fool with this some more....as soon as you read a post as I am doing now you can jump right up top and hit the Quick-Link / New Post thingy right from here. That seems to work really well.

Mike.

Thanks Mike; I think that the owner of the software has made an up-date to their program. I have a similar issue on another site.

So I just made a post about the Freightliner Chassis, I went back to new post's and its not there. How is anyone going to know if a new post has been made to that one? without remembering that it was made in the first place. I know on my Internet Email I get a notice that someone has made a post that I have also made a post to. But it wont show up that they have on TDR, this unless I can remember that Mike made one on Why is Air invisible it wont show when he tells me the reason because we both had made previous posts. Most often I see something that I may have put up or that someone else has put up and im interested in but may haven't posted to it, How will I follow along with the post without remembering who said what, when and why, as it WAS I was reminded of my interest by seeing that John Doe had made a comment and clicked to see what others had said.

Also something that's kind of strange, what about quick posts I think that by using that it didn't show up even on the old system, I know that I would see that John Doe had made a post to an already existing one get on to see what he said and there were several others that were there but didn't show on my Email because it was a Quick reply instead of a Go Advanced post

Well I just marked "all forums read" closed out and went back on with the message " no new posts". We will see what happens when some posts are updated.

Well all is fine with new posts for now anyway. 20 new (Updated) posts instead of 170.

I guess we will all need to go to school to learn how to navigate this site. Can't they just leave a good thing alone.
