Introduction

I've been a member since immediately after purchasing my new truck last March but I've been perusing past posts and enjoying the quarterly magazines since. What a great website. I helped my neighbor avoid an expensive injection pump replacement buy passing on the need for an FP gauge on his gen 2 with which he discovered a need for a new lift pump. My truck came without cruise so I asked the dealer to install. The rostra stand-alone did not function but seeing RankRam's description of the factory install gave me the right option. I took longer to remove the Rostra than put in the OEM system. I got my truck to pull a 9K 5er and does it ever do that well. i would like to stay conservative to maintain durability but I have certainly seen a few interesting ideas and have accumulated some questions. I will post the questions separately.

The install was just as easy as you indicated. The only thing that preturbs about the whole deal was

a) the dealer didn't know about this

b) I hadn't seen your post before I bought my truck

c) I paid $100 for $10 bucks worth of stuff

d) DCX denied it to me to save a measely $10 but we've seen the amount of stuff DCX has left out to save a few bucks.
