I kinda like this idea. Do we want to do a lunch thing, or a little after lunch to miss the Saturday crowds? Don't much matter to me. I have a buddy up near Waterloo that has a couple axles for me and would like to get them at the same time. He has a CTD so he'd probably like to meet with us.

Hey Mike thanks for alerting me of this thread. Things have been really busy around here and I have not even looked at this for a week. I would be interested in joining up with you guys.

But, I don't think January 7th will work for me, if I am able to get out of the shop I am going to try to go to the indoor pull in Gifford, IL. But, don't let my absence cause you guys to change days. I work in SE Iowa and live in IL.

I think I could make that, as long as I'm not on the road. Starting running OTR with the KW. Been going out to KS and NE with feeder cattle. I know I have a load to take out, but not sure what days I'll be gone yet. If we can time it right, maybe we can meet and run together. I'll PM you my ph #. I lost my last cell phone this summer (fell into the pit at the ethanol plant LOL), and didn't have your # written down.

:-laf Ya I knew were abouts Chris lived, I just was wondering why he hadn't been back to talk more about this. I know he has been having transmission troubles with his ride, I hope its getting better.



OK guys here's the deal so far. I am going to meet a friend of mine from up north in Cedar Rapids around lunch time on Saturday the 7th. Thats this saturday correct? I would be happy to meet any and all of you guys up there. I'll bring a note book, and if you guys want, you can put down your name, address, email, and phone number, and I'll put it all down and email it to everybody. We can kinda decide whats going on this year and if we want to do more. How's this sound?? I know this is kinda short notice, but the rest of my weekends are booked for a while.



I don't really care if you have friends that drive diesels that aren't CTD's that want to come, as long as they enjoy the diesel truck aspect as much as we do. Or do we want to keep this a Dodge/CTD thing for now?

The unofficial club has grown by leaps and bounds. We have members and non-members of the TDR. People from other boards and groups. We have some Ferd guys involved. People from four states. Some green newbies. And some guys that "used to have" or "will have" diesels.



Keep pluggin' with the club. I hope that all of you make a go of it.



Our Meet -n- Greet is this coming weekend. It's going to be a big turnout. Oo.

just ran across this thread. There is no hooters here in cedar rapids. And we have no truck stop. But right off 380 there is a chilis, applebees, red lobster, olive garden, bennigans, boneheads, and a mall with plenty of parking. It is all right on collins road on the east side of 380 about 1 mile. I may be around but it is the last day of pheasant hunting so that may come first. If you need any phone numbers let me know.

I would say Boneheads. They have good food. Its kind of like a applebees but locally owned and plenty of room to chat and have a few cold ones with great food. As you are heading east on collins road it will be on your right side as you get to the mall. You will pass Rockwell Collins on your left and then the mall will be about a block and a half on your right. Boneheads is just before the mall.

Well guys I'm sorry I've missed this thread for so long especially since I started it. A guy off DTR actually told me I better check it out. I really didn't think there was much interest so I quit checking back. I'm going to have to miss this first Iowa meet as I have a stack set to install on Saturday that will take most of my morning.

I am still having transmission issues and hope to get it resolved soon. The transmission rebuider doesn't want to stand behind his work because with my 275's and a Hypertech on level one I guess I'm putting too much power thru it so he says. I'm on number 3 transmission since 8-15 and the one I'm running now is sending out bad driveline vibrations. I went from an average of 500 miles a day down to about 500 miles total since a week before X-mas. I pulled my back cover last weekend and retorqued 5th gear and now it's not quite as bad but the countershaft seems sloppy and the shifting grinds going into 3rd every time. I think I will just keep abusing the transmission I have now and when it crumbles I'm gonna take it in a doggie bag to the rebuilder and spoon feed him his own crap and then take him to court and get me a real transmission from Goerands... and no clutch this time!

Keep me posted as to getting a Iowa chapter going and I will surely become more present and involved.

Sorry you'll miss it Chris. Kinda wondered what happened to ya in this thread. I'm going to get everybodies name, and contact info so we can start getting something setup. I just hope there was enough notice to get a good turnout this weekend.
