2700 HP...Tight fit

Well i may be s**t out of luck already but I would love to fly down and spend the weekend and see the whole event but I am having trouble finding a hotel that can supply transportation to and from the event because i am not old enough to rent a car. Can anyone steer me towards a hotel that can get me to and from IRP? I would drive but i will be working friday and monday and i live in NH. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I posted this in the IRP post in the national events post to.

Got this from the DHRA site. You'll be hard pressed to find a hotel shuttle to IRP. There are plenty of fans that will be at the hotels that can give you a lift.

Just wondering how booked these hotels get in the area? on the IRP list there are quite a few? what are my odds of just driving down for the weekend and finding a place to stay? I actually getting married the weekend before (Im in Ontario, Canada) and are planning on going thru the mountains of NY&PA and I told her there is something I want to see on the last weekend in Indy Oo. Oo. :--) :--) !!!!!! Due to time restraints and what not though I don't really want to book ahead just incase I don't make it!

Thanks... Ryan

Thanks for the responses, I have seen that list before but I can't figure out which one is closest to the event. Can any of you guys recomend a decent reasonably priced hotel close to IRP? Thanks again.

I would say your chances of dropping in and getting a room are less than slim to none. Most of the hotels are probably already booked up.

okay, thats what I was affraid of. Not a big deal though, she is in the mood for touring so there is no reason we couldn't go spend the night in Cincy or Louisville!!! not sure if I would be able to get much sleep though on the good old Honeymoon!

I just booked four rooms at Lees Inn, they said they were half full right now. $72 a night plus tax and $65 with AAA discount, if you havnt made reservations better do it soon.

Can anyone recomend a Hotel in the area, i don't have a problem getting a taxi to the hotel but it might get a bit pricey going to and from IRP unless i am close in which case i could deal. If i could get a name tonight that would be awsome so i can start calling and getting my reservations made. Thanks again.

i just booked a room at the Red Roof Inn Oo. about 2. 1 miles From IRP so worst comes to Worst i'll walk. So if anybody sees a six foot five inch tall 20 year old kid walking to the event feel free to give him a lift. ;)
