Is a aftermarket remote affected by a Smarty ME install?

I have a remote start will there be any issues to installing a Smarty ME? I want to do an EGR Delete, I have a MP-8 and an exhaust turbo back to muffler yet to install the exhaust. It is a system with bungs and no hangers. Opps! Another question: Where do y'all buy hangers, clamps, and gaskets? Thanks for your help and advice.

You should be good to go w/ the remote start and Smarty.



It only affected the people who just unplugged the EGR (no programmer), beacause it sets a CEL and shuts the truck off after a few seconds w/ it EGR unplugged when you do the remote start.



Also w/ the Smarty, you just need the exhuast w/o the bungs. Smarty is a code free programmer. The bung exhuast is for people who uses SIMS and no programmer to be deleted. If your doing the EGR delete also, new gaskets should be included in the kit (most of them).

Also I would not stack power adders w/ the 6. 7 CTD. . It can cause issues, so ditch your MP-8.

Since the exhaust was $65. 00- garage clean out- I couldn't pass it up! I'll look for plugs to plug the bungs. So no MP-8 with the Smarty? Anyone else running a MP-8 with a Smarty on a '08 2500?
