Is a bed mat needed with Rino-liming?

I have Rino-lining . Do I also need a bed mat for my slide-in? I need some input. Who makes a good bed liner if I need one? Thanks

I have a spray in liner too. (line x) I use a 1" recycled tire mat on the floor because the spray in liner doesn't really offer any protection for heavy objects like firewood from denting the bed. Just my . 02

I have the Rhino and use nothing between it and my 4000-lb slide-in. There are no wear marks at all and the camper does not slide due to the tacky surface (this is the reason I got the Rhino). If you still think that you need a bed mat, check out the nice rubber horse mats that are sold at tack shops.

If you want an inexpensive rubber mat for your slide in camper, go to a feed store, or any place selling horsy items and get either the stable mats they use for horse stalls or the ones used in horse trailers which are made from recycled tires.

These normally come in 1/2" or 3/4" thickness and 4 ft X 6 ft. If you go that way be sure you fill in the spaces just in front and back of the wheel well and any empty space beside the wheel wells. I didn't and ended up damaging the bottom of the slide in camper. Seems the camper was about 1" wider than the mats.

Good luck

If you use a carpet on top of the bedliner, the camper will slide around on it. A rubber mat is used to keep that from happening!

For all those with the Rhino or any other spray liner that is starting to look chalcy, here's a tip to get it looking new. I used Armor-All CLEANER with a stiff brush and lots of water to bring it back to new-looking. An 8' bed took me about 15 minutes and 4 Heinekens.

VEE

That was an awful lot of Heineken for that small of a job. Did you use more Armour-All than Heineken or just the opposite?

Did you drink the Armor-All and spread the Heinekens on the bedliner? Can you use any kind of beer or does it have to be Heinekens? I'm kind of partial to Bud Lite

Rhino Bed lining

A rhino bed liner that is sprayed correctly doesn't need anything else for protecting the bed. I have had it in my 98 since it was new and haul rocks, trees, firewood, paletts with nails sticking out the bottoms, pallets of rolled grass strips, and many other nasties that could damage the inside of the bed. There is not one single place in the bed that has failed and allowed anything through to the metal. Why worry about a bed liner that will collect moisture under it when it is un-necessary. Some of the other spray in liners up here in the cold country tend to let loose and fail but I have never heard of a Rhino Liner doing this.

See, what happened was I kicked the first heineken over in the bed, so I actually on drank three Armor-Alls, err, I mean heinekens.

I drank one before I started, kicked one over before the first, another when I got up to turn around to do the other side, and the forth when I went to the basement to ge tthe full bottle of cleaner. Though it seems like a lot for a small job, it FELT like a LONG 15 minutes... .
