Edge A2 or Attitude Mounting Pics?

looking at the options for upgrades to a "new to me truck", a 2000. was real happy with the fass on my old truck but am trying to update my options for LPs. looks like fass has some issues these days so i tried researching for recent info on the airdog with little results and only one distributor but they may be selling what's left of their stock. is airdog still making LPs and are they any good? and, are replacement filters easy to come by.

thanks, jeff

I have an AirDog on my truck. Filters are super easy. They're a Fleetguard filter. So far so good. Super happy. I just put a higher speed motor on mine for the anticipation of running a modded a CP3. I'll PM you the name/number of the guy that sells them. He doesn't want his info plastered across the internet.

My AirDog has been good for over a year, finally found alternate filter sources too. FASS seems easier to come by and has a broader support base. If you're shopping options, RASP is another idea.

thanks for the input,

i think i'll get another fass unit and pray for no problems. i had good luck with it before and that was before their "improvements".

AirDogs are now sold by PureFlow Technologies, Inc. (their wbsite is www.pureflow technologies.com). They have a license agreement with Charles Ekstam for the system and sell it as PF100. They have the replacement filters and will service customers that purchased AirDogs from Ekstam Workdwide.

foolkiller,

The AirDog is alive & well!!! Pureflow just made another run of AirDog units. pm me for contact info on a dealer. I believe the AirDog is shipping with a coupon for an extra fuel filter and a water separator which makes the price very comparable to the FASS. The Fleetguard filters are available as a replacement, pm for contact info.

BTW, over 120,000 mi on my AirDog and ZERO issues!!!

Definitely consider the AirDog. It is a better unit, more compact, quieter, and better filtration than the FASS. The current promotion is a coupon for one water separator and 2 filters.

I'm running a AirDog at 25 psi with no problems. I have a bypass regulator so I can set the pressure at what I want and have run 42psi on the dyno and it pulled down to 40psi.

foolkiller - Check out the link in my signature for the GFS-392 Fuel System. It's an alternative and of excellent quality. MHO

blacksheepdiesel,

Do you know the Fleetguard part numbers for the AirDog filters? Shipping costs from Missouri to Hawaii are outrageous so I'd like to switch to the Fleetguard filters to get way from the shipping costs (we have a Cummins dealer here).

Foot,

Absolutely!

Fleetguard FF 5617 10mic absolute

Fleetguard FF5587 7mic absolute

Fleetguard FF5613 5mic absolute?

Hopefully your Cummins dealer carries them or is willing to order them, definitely not a high volume filter. One dealer coudn't even find them in the Fleetguard catalog.

Trent

Thank you for the part numbers.

My AirDog has been installed for about 2 1/2 years and have not had any problems with it. My stock fuel filter has been much cleaner since I installed the AirDog. I also wired my AirDog with a bypass switch so that I can run the AirDog to filter the fuel when I am fueling with the truck off. This mod. also eliminated the tank vent problem (e. g. I can fill my trank up to the filler neck without any problems).
