Hey folks,

I'm looking for sombody that knows a Line-x dealer in UT. I don't really want to pay 500 for a liner on the ol' Ram just to get it sprayed. Plus, this on top of the Goose Hitch, that makes for quite a pretty penny.

Any help would be great.

Thanks,

Corey

I had to pony up 450 for rhino lining. I did it at the riverdale store and talked him into over the rail for free. I've put 3 yards of lava rock through it and well its pretty scarred up but the red came right off, sure better than scarrin up the sheet metal bed.

I'm looking into herculiner and durabak self applications for my lower rockers. The kits are like 139 for a long bed. But you gotta do all that stuff on your own, i can't imagine its very fun.

Paid $390 under the rail 8 ft. bed for Linex in NW Arkansas a couple of months ago. I have had linex on 2 trucks now and I think it is the best (JMHO). You can go to the linex web site and print off a discount coupon that is good at any linex dealer http://www.linexcorp.com/#. Hope that helps some. I would also think you could deal with them by saying you are going on vacation to NW Arkansas in a few months and your cousin got his done down there for $100 less then they are asking and would they cut you a break so you don't have to wait and take your business to NW Arkansas. Might be worth a try???

I had mine done for less than $400 over the rail long box. Was done by a great shop in Highlands Ranch (Littleton) CO.

rhickman,

I've done the Herculiner on a Friends Rock Buggy, and your right, it sucks. BUT, if prep'd correctly it works well. He had problems with it coming off in quite a few places, but I sanded the snot out of my Nerf Bars and with numerous applications, (extra thick) it worked out GREAT! I don't think I would want to do it on a vehicle, I believe that it doesn't look all that great, and you won't get the thickness or durability of a spray on liner. Its a good alternative if you don't really have a choice, but Its closer to the last choice for a vehicle that I want to look good. I'd also suggest buying some "Floor Grit / Texture sand" so you get a more even texture, or you will get a very uneven look.

Pitbull,

Good idea, I may try that!

Worst case, I'm going back down to Texas later this year. Looks like Houston (where my mommy lives) would be a good alternative. I'll be up in Witchita falls for upgrade training... I just didn't want to wait that long. But for a $100 savings... I may just suck it up!

Sprayliner.........

Some new company in San Diego. Got our 02 long bed done for $280 (under rails but over tail gate). They offered 2 different textures. One similar to Rhino and the other rough so things wont slip. Been over a year and abused heavily and it's holding up fine.

I talked to a Linex dealer last week and they wanted $550 for over the rail:eek: . Bed mat will stay for a little longer.

$400 + tax here just about 3 weeks ago in western NY for over the rail shortbed. Did a very nice job too.

There is a coupon on the line-x web site as well, I think it was $25 or something.

Be careful of the thickness. The tv commercial says up to 1/4 inch thick. I wish they would say at least a 1/4 inch thick. I had my liner redone on the tailgate Monday. I had worn it down hauling stuff and wood shifting in the bed. I could see the steel of the bed. It sure wasn't a 1/4 inch thick either.

I don't think you would of had this problem with Linex. It is one of the hardest coatings and they say bullet proof. I figure I can hide in the bed of my truck if the wife gets mad at me :D

who and where????? i was thinking bedrug in the next truck [when i get a 04 CTD HO]] but for $250 canadian loonies that is a steal...

Why spend money to cover a perfectly good looking bed?

Wait until it is already beat up and scarred before you shell out those hard earned $$. Bed mats last a long tima and are a lot less. If it gets to looking too badly I'll spray it then.

Just another perspective.

Rhino ...

I bought my truck used. Had a Mopar plastic liner. In14 months on the road (original owner and me), I already had rust starting about 1/4 inch wide on the rearward side of wheel well on drivers side where well meets bed floor.

Rhino sprayed in at local Ziebart. $410 for longbed under rail, additional $80 for over the rails in Charleston WV.

Much better now. Rust is one very good reason to spray it VS mat or plastic liner. I figure the engine will last nearly forever, I could help the body along just a little.
